Project is for weirdo’s who need something to claim as art. Overall I am not fully on board with older Earl Sweatshirt on this. He style to me sounds like a new rapper who is only focusing on one aspect of the music at a time per track. The production, and the features carried this. The contrast shed allot of light on the production that was really needed. Outside of that Earl is just rapping in abstract painting, using very specific and not that impressive rhyme patterns and schemes that don’t really do his voice and cadence any justice. He got the energy of dudes who try to come off as deep, woke or in tune with nature but in reality they just smoke so much weed that they talk slow and it gives them more time to gather their thoughts. Anyone else or even a hungry upcomer would have given these beats more life. I wouldn’t run this one again, outside of the 2 Vince Staples tracks.
