Scartoon – K.Burns & Mark Dark

K.Burns has a rough rasp reminiscent of all the 2000’s mixtapes I’d listen to walking around the south end in my bootleg avirex. This is cold winter snatch ya chain music. Harkening to a time when people were scared of rappers because they believed them. Delivery has an honesty over scratchy marching beats that I miss nowadays. This 6 track project comes off like a mixtape with no hooks and street-centric verses, slick talking up some fairly good wordplay. This was a refreshing taste of yesteryear without seeming dated. A great example to show someone if they don’t know what Underground Rap sounds like.
