This joint was hitting all the way through. Whole album had a polished roughness that I really enjoyed. I will say Monday Night’s flow is so tight that I was engaged and listening for the punchlines, and they never came. Don’t get me wrong, he slipped a few clever lines in there but a lot of the quatrains ended without that oomph, and they felt like missed opportunities. The couple features were solid and didn’t detract from the vibe at all. Beats are hard, lots of heavy sampling and super east coast scratchy. This one is a fun 25 minutes, but isn’t going to blow you away.
