Lord Jah sounds like Evidence if he was on Def Jam instead of Rhymesayers, the cadence and tone of their voices are remarkably similar. Most of the beats are 90% samples with gives the whole project a nostalgic feel. The few features all showed up but none overshadow Lord Jah on his own tracks. This thing starts off really strong and then falters about halfway through and dies out. Lord Jah keeps the emotionally raw atmosphere from beginning to end but the beats get a little more artistic as it goes on and his rhythm stops meshing with them so well. I’d give this one a spin cause you’ll probably find one or two songs you can add to your library and leave the rest.
