If you are a black artist and you don’t have one of these type of projects then it might be time to say it loud. This is a modern black experience with all the nostalgia and pieces of him that you can’t help but rock with. The way hes weaving his own stories, things we all can relate too, and things we are all exposed to with his flows, punchlines and a dope presence and cadence, this is a formula that can’t lose. The penmanship on display here is high tier from a technical level, from a creative level, keeping the theme extremely clear, and just showcasing his love and care for this craft. The production on here has a dope variety to it, and really gave him a playground to just get busy on, from dope samples, emotional tones to being really uplifting. The features were guests and made sure to keep they ass on that plastic. One thing I will highlight is the inconsistency in the hooks, some were a bit undercooked and missing a dash of flair, not bad but they didn’t add much to the track to elevate them, while some like track 4 were extremely dope. This is a must listen for us, and if this don’t motivate you to want to get creative or active, then you one of them ones Chris rock said black folks don’t even rock with. In rotation.
