Admittedly Russ says several times on this project that it’s just a warm up for his album coming this summer. ” I’m rapping better than my peers, shits been going on for years…I’m giving you my heart, all I ask for is your ears”. That bar is real, people hate on Russ cause he don’t miss. Loaded with clever wordplay, punchlines, catchy hooks, bouncy flows, this EP packs more into 15 minutes than a lot of peoples whole catalog. Tons of pop culture references and all the polish you’d expect from anything that Russ puts out. With super producers including 9th Wonder and Static Selektah, all the instrumentation here is fully fleshed out but nothing over shadows the razor sharp and melodic lyrics. Listen to this project, it’s the best 15 minutes you’ll spend this spring.
