Projects got allot on it that I can give credit to, im not mad at that there was some risks taken. Off rip all the production on this is nice, very big, upper tier production, lots of layers and such. Features on here minus Kodak added a nice contrast that this needs, could’ve used more. Then you have Durk who mixes up, doing what he normally does with, tryna get a bit more realistic, different cadences, same flow, but different deliveries it all doesn’t work but he tried. Not mad at it, some of it is just ok and you can tell once the comfort was broken its back to the old bag. Its allot of flash, street tracks and sad songs on here. Im not mad at this, there was allot that just hit that ok line for me, slightly generic but when it hit the more emotional sounding side I can give credit where its due, and the sonics and vibe of those tracks aren’t bad at all. One thing that this project did solidify for me is that I can’t call this rap or hip hop, I just don’t get that feel, we need a specific sub genre name for this specifically but also Durk has the potential to really take advantage of mixing genres, track 20 shouldn’t have hit the way it did. Either way, tho this is a trek to get through, you can take more from it than not, in rotation.
