Encyclopedia Protestia. There isn’t a bad or even mid verse on this album, and there are a lot of them. Writing is top tier. There also isn’t a great song on here. This is a mix of empowerment and struggle rap for people with the time to listen and occasionally decipher. At 26 tracks and an hour long with 3 acts and several interludes, there is a lot going on here and at no point was I dying to hear the next track, nothing hooked me. The verses and delivery are immaculate for the most part with super tight multis and vivid imagery. You could show anyone a track off this album and they would agree that T H R O N E can rap, but the general population is gonna find it boring. That’s okay, this isn’t for them, it’s for the activist sick of dumbed down lyrics. Give it a shot if you’re daring.
