This was truly a good time. I am gonna say what everyone will think, as much as this is what we have wanted for years, was this a product of it taking too long? You let me know. It felt great but there was some parts where I feel like Premo is getting up there age wise so some of the sounds techniques and such were breathing on dated, one side will want to preserve and say if it aint broke dont fix, the other will think it could of taken a few risks. Nas did exactly what was expected from him, just comfortably spitting his street poetry, his reality, and just game for us to digest, live and learn from. There are also moments where I feel like hes been doing this so long and its what I need but should he or could he take a risk or two? like a Rewind or One Mic type risk? Might be just me. Fans will love it, new ears will rock with it but I think there will be more conversations. Great pacing, nice replay value, the AZ feature was chef’s kiss but the rest of the firm would’ve set the world on fire. Also Nas Leave out NoName in his lady tribute? I feel like she makes music for his character in Belly. In rotation.
