Honestly this sounded like he was just adding rhymes he wrote to beats and not really working with the beat. Its very clear on track 4, the feature was fucking bouncing and vibing to start that one off and then he comes on and slows it down tremendously. Even tho he hit the theme it didn’t feel like it was written with the beat. When the beats had a bit more bap to it then he fit better. He was rapping tho, saying some shit I rock with, it’s just the pocket and also sonically allot of things falling dry just didn’t bring it together for me. The hooks suffered from that too even some of the scratches felt dry. From the style and subject matter I know dudes older so hes going to probably hate this but to break free of the Hip Hop image freedom and transition to just artist even slightly will turn this from real raps to dope music quick. Throw this on if you like the more snap poetry style over some simple beats, and want something to lightly tune into, otherwise I wouldn’t recommend this it just feels dated and ignorant of allot of core sciences that make music click.
