You would think he was making a run at a label contract back in the Wale, Childish, J. Cole debut album days. He brings it on every damn track, absolutely going crazy. Flexing, talking nice, street stories, and all but with a very almost desperate cadence, to showcase how much he needs you to understand what he’s trying to say. This hits, hes snapping, and honestly the beats are working perfectly with him. The pacing was album mode grown folks shit. Weaving from smooth, to aggressive, to real shit, then hooking the way he was hooking this is gonna either be his peak or his awakening. Features were dope and as much as more contrast is welcome, it was not needed, he delivered a complete album. Throw this on for some raps and that old school 2011 feel. In rotation.
