I would call this subgenre of raps, glitter raps or glam raps. This double time autotuned raps at maximum, to the point where if the pitch was higher you wouldn’t be able to tell its frequency apart from fairy wings fluttering or unicorn gallops. The subject matter is smooth, he was on some R&B shit sometimes on that new age timing which I can appreciate. The beats, the quality, the sonics and all were very radio ready and high quality. I can see the appeal and the fact that this is pretty much one thing done at a high level throughout I can appreciate but its not for me, and I need the variety. It impacts the pacing but the replay value is here if this is the sound for you. In rotation.
