This felt like a bucket list project or even a vintage themed one. He captures an old school sound but with the new school quality and has the features to really bring it to life. He dumbed it down for sure when it comes to the writing but did not sacrifice the time machine he was trying to put listeners in. Pacing is solid, the production is solid, and honestly it all works. Even if its not necessarily your preference you can’t deny that it was done right. Project is fun and you can tell that he had a good time putting it together, and wanted to pay homage to a time in his life where the music was like this. In rotation.
