This project is a good time if you about that sad boy street life. This is a perfect mix of street shit with that sad boy sound. Its very grounded, very dark and very honest. There are plenty of simple but heavy lines to really hold onto, lots of catchy hooks and a whole lot of just tracks that you can just put on and vibe to. A-Wax found a comfortable bag and decided to turn it up a bit, take some tiny risks here and there and really deliver something heartfelt. The production is very on point, and on par with the feeling he was trying to capture on this. Features were solid and added a nice bit of contrast, a few more could have set the bar a bit higher. Some of the risks on this really hit while a few like him hitting those higher notes didn’t always land. Either way tho this project is dope nothing to really skip on here, more so gotta find what tracks hit more than others on a personal level. In rotation.
