A$AP Rocky could only dream. This is how you say “you can’t do what I do”. There isn’t a syllable out of place on this project. The album title is fitting as there may be other rappers on the same technical level as Aesop Rock, but no one above him. Drum and synth heavy production lays a canvas for the most colorful cadence laden imagery your likely to hear in a long time. Cambatta, rob sonic, and bus driver come close but Aesop Rock shows on this project why he is utterly unique in terms of metaphors, vocabulary and just slick phrasing. Anyone that truly claims hip hop is an art form will be thoroughly impressed with the imagination set to rhythm presented here. Instant classic.
