Propaganda Poetry 2: The Party – Nojay
This is a Sac Town hidden gem right here. It’s not traditional Hip-Hop/rap music, but sonically it’s really good music. Some can argue this sound is very niche, but it has a lot of diverse sounds and mix of different genres. It had fast rap chopping, melodic singy rap, and songs about real shit that I personally resonated with. It also has songs that are just fun to listen to that bump in the whip. The features were a mixed bag. But when they were dope, they were a highlight of the track they were in. The pacing was all over the place, but not in a bad way. More like in an unexpected, never know what you’re in for or gonna hear next type of deal. His voice is very reminiscent of like a younger Mac Miller and at times, I hate to say it, but I can hear a lot some Logic in him. Especially when he raps fast. The production really keeps you engaged in the project. Especially track 7. If you are in a musical rut and need something new to listen to, definitely check out this experimental sounding hip-hop album. You’ll definitely find something that you’ll enjoy. In rotation.
