M. Dot brings his street swaggy voice to a wild mix of production styles on this followup to the 2017 underground hip hop #1 seller. Confident in his delivery, M.dot is aggressively shadow boxing with these beats while only occasionally throwing a haymaker, but the hooks are abundant and gonna catch you. Track 4 expertly breaks down the decline of commercial hip hop in the buying your streams era and fronting on social media era. Filled with moderately complex rhyme schemes, M.Dot manages to reminisce in an entertaining fashion. Halfway though it does seem to get a little repetitive as his cadences don’t really vary. Every song has a direction that M.Dot sees through till the end. Comparatively I’d say he sounds like ILL Bill Light. Slightly less rasp, and less gore. The final track produced by Pete Rock, is the bar M.Dot should measure himself by. If every song went that hard he’d get a perfect score everytime.
