Project is incredible. Not allot of emcees are as easily accepted into the GOAT runnings as Black Thought. That being said, he constantly proves that with a style thats hes never had to change, just improve, he can do it all. Hes at the point where the dopeness is pretty much guaranteed and the production is expected to really shape the experience. This project here, I felt like a teenager being obsessed with black mob and gangster movies all over again. The nostalgia, the atmosphere of these beats, the imagery he was stringing together, you really cant beat it. This project sounds like it wanted to be a slow burn but the chemistry and contrast was too powerful. I loved every second of this. Track 6 is something special. In rotation, and honestly this crushed my top 5 list so far. Need more of this collaboration, and also Thought and L’Orange next please.
