Shottie has that “You can’t tell me nothing” delivery. I could hear this rattling the windows of an escalade on 26’s. Shotties voice is prominently layed on top of the beats putting razor sharp punches in the foreground. The production on this project is pretty boom bap bluesy, new york as hell. All the features showed up with bars and they all had different cadences than Shottie making the tracks exciting to listen to. There is a mix of talking that street talk laced with some deep hardworking introspective quatrains. There wasn’t a bad song on here, I would have liked to hear so of the hooks differ a little more from the verses but all in all this was fire.
