Bizarre surprised the hell out of me on this. I’m gonna be honest, I haven’t heard him since d12, and while he’s no wizard with the pen, the skill is definitely there. Previously I would say he was used at comic relief, but on this solo project he’s bringing his unorthodox content laced with clever punches in his signature Detroit slum lord swag. There is some wild sonic orchestration goin on here, I thought my phone broke while listening, but don’t worry, it’s intentional. The flow is slower than you’re probably used to hearing but the content is imaginative and definitely will never be played on the radio. That being said, Bizarre’s hook singing ability with his wheezy voice is more melodic than I would have expected. This album is unapologetic in the vain of early 2000’s shock rap. Super skilled street features pulled up to hop on with Bizarre, because like it or not, he’s kind of a legend, at least an urban one.
