Even after loving this project first listen, I understand that this is not one that will be justified via one listen review. From the aspect of every track being heat and this having no skips, what held this back from being more than that, is both emcees might be too cool. This felt too effortless to where I felt like they could snap more, EASILY. The production on this is more vibe than like banger, but still go hard and create such an open atmosphere that let them really just get busy. They cook. So much word player, layered bars, relevance from historical to current, if yall know what I mean by that then good. Them just back and forthing dope verses, loaded with style, independence, creativity, and just raps works. The 1 feature on here worked so well contrast and just rap wise that it raised the bar to a level you might feel this project needed more of. It all works. Fun but simple hooks, great songs, and chemistry so smooth that you cant tell if its because they are both so damn cool about it or not. In rotation.
