This project had everything go right for it that honestly it should but it all came down to personal preference. The production super dope, and open enough to let an emcee get busy. It was getting super busy on this too using the space wisely, hooking up a storm, not the craziest hooks but was still stringing it together. I heard some other voices on here for contrast which was nice. The subject matter was here, the pacing was solid and it felt like a legit complete album. My biggest issue was the voices and delivery that just didn’t reach the heights of everything on this. The mix on vocals really highlighted the over practiced and stiff delivery and I couldn’t help but really hear and not enjoy every closing word in the bars. This will get that underground local love for sure, but outside of that people will either listen or skip. It’s still a solid release just have to point out the small things that matter in a big way to me.
