Music coming full circle in the midst of the mainstream bullshit not making money like that and there being no force fed summer anthems. I love to see it, talent can find its way through this crumbling, while vets can comfortably put out whatever they want and not have to pander to no algorithm. This is Cube doing what he does, just clearly, and simply rapping over beats that he fucks with for his fans. His raps aren’t the most complex, very digestible and he lives and dies on rhyming just 1 word sometimes but he’s talking nice, keeping it aggro enough to visualize the state that his eyebrows are always in, and not tryna get out of his comfort zone. Then you have the beats, going from West Coast funk, to some West Coast bounce, to even some almost Chronic era’s type beats. It all works. Only 2 features, who showed up and honestly I need a him and Scarface project asap. Dope pacing, old school fun with allot of bounce that will knock you upside your head for talking smack about it. Throw this on if you are grown and not tryna hear no bullshit. In rotation.
