I don’t think anyone has ever said that he couldn’t rap but by the way he was cooking on this, it feels like something got under his skin. A majority of this is smooth, almost lounge type music, when you separate the boneless, the party, and like killer shit but regardless of whats going on and who is on the track with him, he is rapping his ass off, punching like crazy. Throwing in punchlines, throwing in game, religion, and locking in on some realistic slightly braggadocio purposeful higher living type energy that I couldn’t be mad at. The pacing on this is solid, it really comes down to how you feel about the more radio forward or like higher energy tracks. When its smooth its smooth and when its killer its killer and that’s how the features pan out as well. This music for dudes who wear suit jackets with no shirts under. In rotation.
