I don’t like to give allot of bonus points or participation awards but this has allot of things that I can appreciate and see the vision even if it wasn’t executed perfectly. The commitment to singing I was here for and whenever he was singing the content was always very realistic and solid its just some of the effects and tiny sonic risks with it didn’t fully stick the landing but it had the most potential on this as far as what sticks, and honestly with a small amount of perfectionist obsession it could save it. The production is nice on this, it’s not game changing but it sets the tone, fits the vibe and is open enough to let the artists work. The rapping on here is all heart, allot of drive, it’s just not the most polished, sometimes stiff but you can tell if it ever clicked it will make sense. I wouldn’t run this project back or recommend it out the gate but I will keep an eye out on them because you can hear the influences, intentions and such and it’s something that could work if they cleaned it all up.
