The Lyrical Expression EP – Notes82
01. Hip Hop Fruition
02. Welcome To America
03. When It Rains It Pours
05. Rap Phenomenon
06. Can I Kick It
This is him just sliding on some super dope production and paying homage to hip hop. The production is high tier, and he clearly has an ear for dope beats or just works with only the highest caliber producers. The raps are solid but there’s always this voice in the back of my head wondering how much of this is carried by the production. Not to say he can’t rap, he just seems to stay in a very safe bag, and if you are a lyricist yourself, you can’t help but wanna hear him really show the fuck out, and mix up the techniques or even punch way harder, since he has the voice and cadence of someone who should be throwing haymakers regularly. He handles hooks very well tho whether its him getting his anthem on or the production sampling and cutting up. Pacing is dope, and it’s a lil 6 piece that can be replayed aggressively. Throw this on if you miss that like golden era Kanye sound and need something that breathes a bit of that air. In rotation.
