12. StalagmiteThis project is so dope and unique I would be disrespecting it by labeling it just one thing. First and foremost the upright bass on this absolutely shines. The production on here is so tight, in depth and profound that you can honestly just think of some of your favorite A rank movies and scenes and feel like something off this will fit behind it. The hooks on this are catchy even if the words are minimal, the changes give the songs way more soul than they should. The vocalist on this is sliding from beginning to end, best way to describe it is like if Aesop Rock borrowed some sauce from the Gorillaz and Queens of the Stone Age. Project is a ride, has allot of nostalgia to it but also feels like music from the future. It all works, and honestly is so dope that at minimum it will only confuse people who don’t want to like it. Throw this on anywhere and at anytime and it probably will fit. In rotation.
