10. Soul of DBoyMix is abrasive, which is a shame, because otherwise this is super soulful. Upbeat dope selling Jazz rap. Constant cadence or pattern switches kept this project very engaging. We need more risk taking like this in hip hop. The organic soulful beats would scare aware a lot of artists that want to to hop on a track with that street talk. CKooliente wrangles in the airy rhythms with a bounce that meshes well while keeping it gangster. Not a lot of bayou bangers on here but still distinctly down south. Content is selling drugs, pretty exclusively, but done in a creative and musical way. If you can get past the vocal mix, this one is for sure worth a listen.
