It feels like the art of real albums died a minute ago, and then something like this will drop and completely change my mind. I found this off an instagram ad so salute to good marketing, also I saw 9th Wonder produced so I went in as a hater. I was absolutely incorrect to approach it with that energy. This is one of those perfect fusions, where not only did they both blend the times they both rock with into one album, it never felt like anyone sacrificed anything. It all worked, 9th was laying down some soul, representing era’s of just black music, and Reuben was just spitting his heart away. Rapping about life, rapping about his life, rapping about everything but with a super cool verse, dope delivery and a calm controlled flow. Food, medicine and dope features. This is a complete album and a masterful project. Throw this on to be reminded that charts, fandom, and algorithms aren’t everything. In rotation.
