Nothing says my music is selling out or going full white folks more than having mgk on a project. He doesnt do that the entire time tho, he tossed one right in the middle on some rap shit, honestly the track after the mgk one was very street trap without the street lyrics but everything else was there, and his flare and explosions. Overall tho this is the new age country which is just pop with some muted layers and has to have some sort of acoustic guitar on it. He tryna take country back since Beyonce stole it. It’s really allot of that, the perfect mix of stuff white folks put behind pics of they kids or pets. His fans won’t hate it but they won’t love it either. It’s good music down to the sonics structure and such, mixed in with his typical sadness and pain, just dumbed down for the mainstream. He also ends on more bouncy sad rap track which reminded me who he was. Its a good time, and honestly felt like a heat check for him or even him just trying new things.
