I always pay close attention to when artists who blew up from being dope, do some acting and other things then come back to that bread and butter, and this right here shows he still got it. One thing Dave is going to do is hes going to tell some stories, and them shits gonna be real, raw, uncomfortable, and honestly never lack in his accent and lingo. i compare him to TI when it comes to being the voice of where he is from and making it adapt to anything, his accent lingo and cadence just works and always comes through very clean. The pacing on this is solid and he bounces from moments where he does what he does very well as far as dark realistic honest stories that will make you relate or even hurt, and then will take some breaks to get you to dance, and then show off his peoples via features. He knows how to put together an album and even tho this felt light, it’s still as heavy as he always is content wise while still having replay value. In rotation.
