If you are looking for full albums with a soulful almost homemade meal from scratch feel to it then this dude is bound to drop one once every year or so. He is a prime example of why the mainstream should not be taken seriously. Even though this made its way to the top of apple music’s releases this morning, I still feel like he is just overlooked and underappreciated. You have some very full production, every track. High level talent as features. Then you have him doing it all, stringing together stories, rapping his ass off, adding seasoning to the sauce constantly and never making a second boring. Its got depth, it’s got heart, it’s got pieces of him and it also has many moments where it just gives you a hug regardless of whether you are family or not, the way the black experience should feel. Throw this on to hear what it sounds like when someone is putting it all out there for you and most likely themselves. In rotation.
