These Griselda Sophomores aint slick, I figured yall formula out. It’s not bad but its starting to seem a bit lazy. You find a somewhat relatable and extremely nostalgic cover art with a lil photoshop to draw folks in and stick to the back of your mind. You get a bunch of stretched out and looped samples with some low drums. Zero hooks, and then they just showcase that they can write punchlines sprinkled with drug and money lines. It’s a simple formula down to the science of fast food. It will never hit like a restaurant or home cooked meal but will keep them in business enough to just keep dishing it out. Solid contrast between both MC’s cadences, and inflections which really carries this even if the subject matter is the same. OK pacing. It’s fun and you know what to expect, I just don’t see it going past a few listens or keeping you invested till the next one which will probably come out sooner than later but again it’s still solid and reliable. Throw this on if you live that fast life.
