This how you supposed to humble flex on tracks when you hitting that late 30’s early 40’s range. This my energy 100%. We not dropping game no more, we gatekeeping game from here on out and alienating the youth from the shit only we can understand and enjoy, and just giving them lore and stories. They talking about all the shit I like, self preservation while aging gracefully, being able and ready to throw hands, shitting on wack MC’s, cool shit from the past, enjoying the little things, anything that we got from actually reading books, and handling business. All of this over some bumpy ass beats. They put together a variety of catchy hooks when the songs had it, and honestly they both were contrasting all over these tracks and it really never missed. The strong presence of black excellence and resiliency on this was a nice seasoning too. Throw this on if you are stronger now than when you used to fight all the time, and are just waiting for someone to push your buttons, or if you want some straight to your face hip hop. In rotation.
