When people say I still love her or used to, or She raised me, or She took care of me, this is who my mind fills her in with. This is the closest thing you will get in this era, to a perfect old school hip hop release. This hits the message right on the head, the reality, the homage, the stories, and most importantly the raps. The raps didn’t sound dated on here either, and made a joke about Dr. Seuss rappers to double down on it. This honestly would have crushed during the College Dropout era. The production is super dope, the features all brought it, even though I needed a Queen Latifah Verse Verse on that track. The pacing is dope, the songs are grown too, always around that 3 or more minute mark. Solid skits and honestly this was curated for her fans but will fall pleasantly on the new age too if they give it a chance. This one of those ones that im upset no one mentioned last year or is still not mentioning. In rotation.
