This what I imagine a black owned massage spa would be playing on repeat. This project has a very consistent vibe and energy to it, but not in a repetitive way, more so in a movie soundtrack way to create ambiance and atmosphere. This is her heartbreak story, for others to relate to, understand, compare to, or just experience. The energy is real, its raw, its authentic and also gives you the opportunity to dive in or just relax to it sonically. Her voice is soothing, and she doesn’t go full diva or church choir on you. She has a lane that she clearly rocks with and is building off of that. Solid hooks, some cool flips, solid pacing and just good straight to the point Rhythm and Blues. Throw this on if you don’t need pop flash and all that extra bullshit, just some emotional soul. In rotation.
