This is the album that I was expecting from Kendrick. This album was super dope. It was very reminiscent of Good Kid, Maad City but from a fresh perspective and a different story. And without the weird voice inflections that K. Dot does. Solid rapping voice. Everything from the production, beat switches and especially the pacing, is masterfully put together. This is one of those album that if you hear any song from this project, you gotta run it back from the beginning to hear the full story. Very nostalgic sounding and he held down the whole album with only two features that also added their touch to this project that was a treat to hear. Drop whatever you’re doing and peep this album asap.
