Smooth operator. I am by no means a R&B aficionado, mostly because it’s a little slow and boring for me. This project by Lia had enough catchy and poppy moments to keep me listening. 12 love songs over various types of production, with nothing abrasive or out of key, Lia can sing, no doubt, but she makes space for the music. She’s really dancing with the instrumentals, no overpowering on either side. There’s a very human feel to the beats, maybe lacking syncopation, that pairs well with Lia’s sneaky vibrato and closer than friends lyrics. If you like to get frisky or vibe out to soulful R&B then this ones for you.
