Wow, there is a lot going on here. Thought Provokah certainly does that and more with a smooth flow reminiscent of Fabolous with a little less inflection. Beats are an eclectic mix of golden era boom bap and ethereal Jazz. Now the lyrics are where it gets cool, Thought Provokah isn’t making “Nerd Rap” but manages to reference every video game or TV show any of you 90’s kids grew up on, while keeping it street enough to bump on the block. His vocab is pretty top tier, allowing him to turn so many phrases, that if you caught all the ones that are on the nose, you probably missed the other half. Give this one a couple listens.
