This project starts on the East Coast and ends in Houston. Pacing was questionable at first because it fools you into thinking the whole project gon be old school flavor with a lil bit of new age drizzled in, like a bowl of Cap’n Crunch with some almond milk. Then around track 6 Perez opens up the Kashi, Whole Foods cereal. Honestly without the end of the tape this would be solely considered “homeboy music” (made by homeboy for homeboys) but the transfer from gritty, technical bars to pain and melodies was the catalyst ingredient. You wouldn’t order a Sabrett hotdog without sauerkraut and mustard, nor should you listen to only half of this project. In rotation.

Album is like buying a 8th for 40 and expecting for it to be Za. First track definitely gave me glimpses of hope, but unfortunately that was as far as it went. Production has some positives but is brought down by the same 3 high hats making appearance throughout. Raps are ok at best. Most of your features put you in a backpack and carried you to the promise land. This ain’t the one chief. Back to the drawing boards.
5.5/10 – M.
