Project is wild. Its so different I honestly couldn’t put it in a box. Its like he made his own soundtrack to a sci fi action noir movie based in 90’s Queens NY. I loved it, the variety, his strange and unique style switchups, the production that was just as all over the place as him. Its strong, has content, has lyrical, has rock, has catchy, all sorts of stuff happening here but done with a veteran and legends approach. The pacing is solid, the variety is fantastic, and its done right like if you are a fan of any of the genres he incorporates on this, you will not be upset about it, Unless you are like a purist purist. Its dope, especially when he gets his rap on but thats the only thing that I felt i needed more of. Features were solid, the cypress hill feature threw me off guard for sure. Very solid release tho, this one will grow even more on me because after my listen I still wanted to run it back to make sure I heard what I heard. Very unique very dope, like tech n9ne and system of a down light but without those signature sounds if that makes sense. In rotation.
7.5/10 – John D.
