Feels like Miguel is trying to get behind The Weeknd’s after hours sound in where he channels a distinct era of sound. In this case this was all Prince and the revolution. Unlike The Weeknd he doesn’t deliver. Maybe it’s because it’s short but it’s not the production or the beats. Just felt he left way too much to be desired and his ep doesn’t do enough to make me want to even listen further. Disappointed
